Arzep is available as a nasal spray. It is typically administered as two sprays in each nostril twice daily. Carefully adhere to the instructions on your prescription label, and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. Use Arzep precisely as directed. Do not alter the dosage or frequency prescribed by your physician.

 

Before your initial use of Arzep, take off the child-resistant screw cap and attach the pump unit. Prime the delivery system (pump unit) with four sprays or until a fine mist is visible. If it has been 3 days or more since your last application of the nasal spray, reprime the pump with two sprays or until a fine mist appears.

 

Seek emergency medical assistance if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty in breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

 

If you encounter any of these serious side effects, stop using Arzep and contact your doctor immediately: bronchospasm (shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing); or rapid or irregular heartbeats.

 

Minor side effects of Arzep may include: a bitter taste in your mouth; headache; drowsiness or dizziness; dry mouth, sore throat; nasal burning; weight gain; nausea; nosebleeds; cough, sneezing, runny nose, cold symptoms; or redness of the eyes.
